Ben FMGreater Media Philadelphia’s 95.7 Ben FM in Philadelphia has just received IQ Beats custom jingle package numero dos… If aint’ broke, don’t fix it. Sticking with a good thing has never been more obvious.

Similar to a Jack FM and broadcasting in the Adult Hits format, Ben FM features music that spans 30 years and breaks the radio rules! With the freedom to play anything it likes, Ben FM spins music ranging from No Doubt to Jimmy Buffett, from Boston to the Bee Gees.

The new jingle package is no less varied than Ben FM’s playlist and is a nice update to the similar custom package crafted for them in 2005.

Signal 1 Launches New Custom

April 5th, 2008

Signal OneClear, concise, elegant and soulful. UTV Radio has launched its dynamic, new on-air imaging on Staffordshire and Cheshire’s Signal 1 with the other 12 stations in the network each due to launch their respective versions soon.

Composed by Steven Scalfati and Patrick Napper, the package exhibits a range of mood, style, color and emotion while blending perfectly with the varied playlists found throughout UTV’s UK network.

We always love to have our clients from the UK and beyond visit us at our downtown Seattle tequila bar and clubhouse production facilities. UTV Radio’s Deputy Group Programme Director Simon Walkington made the pilgrimage to oversee vocal recording, get his hands on some mixes and find out what tequila is all about:

We are delighted with our new package. On first listen I was truly gob smacked. Working with the guys at IQ Beats is a bit harrowing with the free-flowing tequila, but how can you question the results?

They patiently got to know our brand(s), tirelessly worked on beds until they were perfect, mixed in world-class vocalists and presented us with jingles that complement our great playlist. IQ Beats have really taken our station imaging to a whole new level.

Click here to hear each component of the package and stay tuned to the blog for future additions showcasing the enormous amount of work that went into writing, recording, editing and mixing a custom package for thirteen different sings all at one time. Now may be a good time to remind you to subscribe to our feed so as not to miss out on any of the IQ action.

My 106.1 - Flagstaff

March 17th, 2008

My 106.1 - FlagstaffWhen a couple of radio heavyweights and friends of IQ came knocking for a the perfect package to launch Flagstaff, Arizona’s newest Hot AC station, we set them up with a fantastic re-sing of our 96.6 TFM package.

The package is using slogans of “80’s, 90’s and Today” and “My Music, My Station” along with an end sing of “My 106.1″ and sounds great. Custom edits of the stager cuts were made to accommodate the longer slogan sings with a great vocal sound provided by legendary jingle diva Emily McIntosh.

The station is now live and playing 10,000 songs in a row. Head to the My 106.1 site and click the Listen Live link to hear the magic, or head on over to iqbeats.com and listen to the package here.

UTV Custom Package in the Works

March 14th, 2008

UTVSimon Walkington, Deputy Group Programme Director for UTV Radio’s portfolio of stations, has been in town with us this week as vocals are being recorded for our latest custom package, and second for this group of stations (previously as The Wireless Group).

The package is sounding great and is built around 7 music themes and a full suite of elements for news, weather and travel. Featuring Michael and Emily as the vocalists, the hip and streamlined vocal production lends to a clear and concise sound that is elegant, soulful and easy on the ears.

Today is our last day of vocal recording and there is no better way to cap off a big week than TEQUILA!! Who knows… We may get Simon to partake in some of the Western Hemisphere’s finest spirit, or he may elect to just settle in with a top-shelf steak at one of Seattle’s finest eateries after the session.

Regardless of the above choice he makes, we concur that he is a super nice guy and believe his choice to continuing to image with IQ Beats falls nothing sort of brilliant. Stay tuned to the blog for the debut of the package in early April.
