Michiel Lisseveld
Michiel (26) has worked his whole life with music. He started as a copyright manager at BMG Music Publishing. After 2 years he worked himself up to Junior Creative Manager. He worked with Dutch acts like Kane, Within Temptation, Silkstone, E-life and a whole bunch of Dance producers such as Junkie XL, Driftwood, and G-Spot just to name a few. His biggest accomplishment during this time was to get “Rain Down On Me” by Kane added to the play list of his favourite football game FIFA (EA Sports), which was released worldwide!Michiel then started working for a small jingle company. This was the first time he came in contact with jingles and he became very interested in it because it was a whole new ballgame as one is more involved in the branding and imaging of a radio station.Later he started selling music for all kinds of commercials, corporate films and multimedia productions. However, the jingles were calling him. This urge to be involved with jingles again put him in touch with Paul Gulmans of Music and Images. Now years into his union with Paul at Music and Images, Michiel is responsible for the sales of jingles, music and sound effects and doing a helluva job.In his free time Michiel likes scratching (turntablism) with his Hip Hop act KSK, football (AJAX) matches and other games.
Paul Gulmans
Paul (38), director of Music and Images, has been a musician/composer since he started to walk and talk. In small town Holland it was a hard job to make a living playing gigs, so he decided to major in Music Science and Sociology, as well as study guitar in London, UK. More then ten years ago Paul came aboard Music and Images and started translating the branding and imaging wishes of major European stations into actual jingle packages for them. Whether syndicated or a complete custom package, Paul would find the perfect composers or existing package to completely fulfill any radio station’s imaging needs. Paul knows that music is emotion and at Music and Images it’s their job to sell music to clients to enhance their productions and their imaging. It looks like his studies finally paid off as Music and Images has become the leading jingle company in Europe in the last decade and still expands to this day. In his band Saharian, Paul lets his guitar speak through a Marshall on eleven! Influenced by guitar players like Randy Rhoads, Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert and Gary Moore amongst others, he has developed his own style in both playing and his songs.
