“Manchester Now” Theme
Today the multi-faceted and uber-talented IQ Beats composer Patrick Napper is hard at work refining his efforts on the recently commissioned “Manchester Now” theme ordered up by Stuart Barrett and Managing Editor John Ryan from BBC Radio Manchester. “Manchester Now” is to be their new evening/news/sports show beginning today, June 4th, and they need a new theme to accompany the high energy and slick production of the show. And is it any surprise whose door they came knocking on when in need? We think not.
But wait… What is that wafting down the halls between production studios here at IQ HQ? Oh, it’s just Patrick taking a momentary diversion from building a vocal shelf for Manchester’s news sequence and is instead blowing some trumpet for pal and ska legend Lynval Golding of famous ska outfit The Specials who now fronts The Stiff Upper Lips. You know those ska horns have GOT to be tight and Patrick is the guy to make it right.
