Patrick at NeoCon 2007

IQ Beats composer Patrick Napper just blew in from a weekend trip to Chicago and it was a rousing success! He was hired by Gunlocke, a high-end sustainable office furniture company out of New York, to perform one of his one-man-band DJ sets at their showroom during NeoCon 2007. Gunlocke’s tagline: “Performance in Wood”.

Held at the famous Kennedy-owned Merchandise Mart in downtown Chi-town, NeoCon is the single most important industry event of the year for commercial interiors and the built environment. It features 1200 showrooms and exhibitors showcasing thousands of cutting-edge commercial products and is attended by more than 50,000 design professionals with hundreds of exciting networking events and parties. Patrick says, “I was honored to be asked to provide my lounge groove of sophisticated beats, live trumpet, keys, vocals and percussion to their party. I had a blast performing for a packed showroom of design professionals from all across the country while they got their drink on and perused GunlockeΓÇÖs stylish wares.”

The multi-faceted talent of Patrick never ceases to amaze the rest of here IQ. The dude can jet off to the Windy City for a weekend of DJ’ing and schmoozing right in the middle of a BBC Manchester commission and pitching for another prominent UK radio consortium. The hardest working man in the jingle biz?
