JR FM

93.7 JRfm WINS CANADIAN COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION’S MAJOR MARKET RADIO STATION OF THE YEAR!

Our friends up the road in Vancouver, BC have gone and won themselves some serious recognition. Awards like this are won due to great listeners, a great programmer and of course the seriously slick custom package we crafted for Gord and the gang.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Gerry Siemens, Vice President and General Manager of 93.7 JRfm (CJJR FM), is pleased to announced that JRfm has been named Canadian Country Music Association’s Major Market Radio Station of the Year. The station received the award Sunday night in Regina at the CCMA Gala Dinner.  “I’m very proud of our team in Vancouver” Siemens says. “The Pattison Broadcast Group believes in Total Team Involvement and this recognition of the job that we do together, as a radio station, is outstanding. Our hard-working staff and our listeners deserve a big pat on their backs for helping achieve this honour.”

The CCMA Major Market Radio Station of the Year award was judged by peers in the industry. JRfm’s presentation was deemed the best, and represents the pinnacle in Canadian country radio for 2007.

This award will be added to JRfm’s growing award case. JRfm was also named Country Station of the Year in 2004, 2005 & 2006 at Canadian Music Week, an annual event that takes place in Toronto.

“It’s wonderful there are people who recognize our station as being the best country station in Canada” said JRfm Program Director Gord Eno. “However we are only as good as our listeners, which means our listeners are the best in Canada too!”

93.7 JRfm and sister station Unforgettable 600AM are part of the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group.

Angel FM Re-launch

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

Angel FM - AthensWhen you’re top radio consultant Ray Arthur bee-bopping around London and hearing our phenomenal Heart Network package filling the airwaves with all sorts of radness, naturally which package do you turn to for the the re-launch of Angel FM 88.9 in Athens, Greece?

You weigh your options for .5 seconds and then get on the horn to IQ HQ and get the package sung in the style of the Heart original with a stylized open sing of “Angel” and a powerful finish of “This is Angel”. A few of the cuts feature alternate open sings for Club Classics, Summertime and Time Tunnel.

Stay tuned for a montage at the end of the post, but first let us share with you a glowing testimonial from Mr. Arthur himself…

I wanted to write you and say how happy we are with the new Angel jingle package.

The comments we are getting from both people in the industry and, more importantly the listeners, is the quality of the package is of a very high standard. They sound very international and not ‘cheesy’ like other packages.

Again, thanks for a great job. I look forward to using IQ Beats again soon.

KVOX Montage

Tuesday, October 30th, 2007

Froggy 99.9Hoppy Gilmore, Program Director and morning show personality at Froggy 99.9 in Fargo, ND has recently taken delivery of a customized version of the KSON package that is tearing up the airwaves.

I’m having a really hard time putting into words how great our jingles sound… And how great it’s been to work with IQ Beats. We are the heritage country station and when you have toddlers singing your jingle, it’s scary to think about changing it.

IQ Beats made sure the jingle ID stayed the same, but with a completely updated sound. They also treated me like I was their number one customer. I felt like I was their biggest priority through the entire process.

I can’t thank you guys enough for the awesome jingles. The station sounds so hot right now!

KIQK – Kick 104

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

Kick 104Rapid City is reeling from the relentless new Wolf package tearing up the airwaves through the Black Hills and beyond. New Program Director Eric Paul at KIQK – Kick 104 has recently transplanted himself from a position at KMPS, Seattle’s other Country station, and after hearing the Wolf package unleashed in his market and seeing the damage it can do, guess which package he chose when given the opportunity?

We’re excited to showcase the montage here as Mr. Paul is the first recipient of the package that features a dial position end sing… Up until now all syndicated versions of the package have totally resembled the original. We are feeling really good about the adaptation done for Kick 104. Um, and so is Eric:

Dude, the IQ Beats stuff is rockin’! When I made the move out here to Rapid City to turn this station around, you were my number one choice when it came to jingles. Management was resistant at first because they wanted something that was 100% barter… I hate settling, that’s not how you win in this business. I fought to make this happen and obviously was successful.

My biggest reason for choosing IQ Beats? The jingles sound nothing like those ‘cliche’ jingles. When I used to think jingles, I would think group sings with the pipe organ. I absolutely hate those! Welcome to 2007 people. We ordered the Wolf re-sing package because it sounds like no other jingle package out there – It has the fun, upbeat, hip sound I wanted for this station. The vocalists sound absolutely amazing! It fits perfectly with the sound that Country music is today. When you find yourself, or even better, when you hear other people singing along to your jingles… Damn that’s a great feeling! (more…)

KWJJ Airs New Wolf Re-Sing

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

KWJJWe’re not sure if it’s because of all the time we’ve recently spent hanging out with KWJJ Program Director Mike Moore at the Keith Urban show and the big Kenny Chesney Flip Flop Summer Tour show or if it’s because he truly loves the jingles, but The New 99-5 The Wolf in Portland, Oregon has begun airing their shiny new re-sing of our barnstormin’ Wolf package.

There must be something in the water down in the Rose City considering this announcement yesterday that their competitor will be rolling out a new on-air package soon. Also included in this go ’round are five Country X Factors with more coming right around the corner. Check out what has been said about the new package:

The Wolf has been the dominate country station in Portland for over three years now, and there is no doubt our new jingles from IQ Beats will help us continue that success! This package raises the bar and is the slickest thing available today. You guys at IQ Beats are awesome!
-Mike Moore, Program Director at KWJJ, The New 99-5 The Wolf

Chris Bailey Testimonial

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Chris Bailey, Programme Controller and on-air presenter at Bright FM in historic Sussex, ordered himself up a tasty helping of cuts from the now-famous London’s Heart 106.2 package from IQ Beats. Featuring jingle diva Emily McIntosh, we worked extra hard with Chris to get him EXACTLY what he was looking for. Don’t believe me? Here it is, straight from the PC’s mouth:

The jingles are excellent! Thank you so much for making the whole process so easy for us. It’s been a pleasure working with you over the last few months and the team here at Bright are really pleased with the excellent results.

Chris Baily, Programme Controller – Bright FM

Rob Walker Testimonial

Tuesday, March 6th, 2007

Rob Walker, friend of IQ Beats and head honcho down the street at Seattle’s 100.7 The Wolf, has got more than a few nice things to say about the boys at IQ Beats after taking delivery of his competition crushing new custom IQ Beats Wolf package.

Michael, Steve and the rest of the crew at IQ Beats have the uncanny ability of being able to suck a concept out of my mind and turn it into an amazing piece of station imaging. The custom package they created for Seattle’s Wolf is nothing short of brilliant. It captures the energy and emotion of what we do to a “T”. If someone asked me to describe the attitude and vibe of The Wolf, I’d simply play them some of my IQ cuts.

Peter Gordon Testimonial

Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

Our friend Peter Gordon at 96.4 The Eagle in Surrey and Hampshire just sent an email with glowing feedback…

“I just wanted to say how delighted we are with the sound of the station now that the package is on. We are only two days in, but there is no doubt the overall feel of Eagle Radio has been lifted. Which is fantastic.

Thanks so much for all the hard work you have done.”

Ian Downs Testimonial

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005

IQ Beats recently completed doing a massive re-sing of our Heart 106.2 package for the UKRD Group’s network of Star Radio outlets and feel like we did a great job managing this one. Apparently we’re not alone:

Getting emails from Michael [Berlin], Mark [Hall] and the team at IQ Beats is probably one of the most exciting things I can think of. They are so easy to work with, they make re-sings sound like customs and it’s NOT as expensive as you might think! The downside? I think I could probably spend my radio stations entire budget on IQ Beats imaging if my station manager let me.
